PhenylAde® GMP Mix-In should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with whole protein and other nutrients to supply the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the individual in medically prescribed quantities.
Suggested intake of PhenylAde GMP Mix-In to be determined by a healthcare professional and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the individual. The daily intake should be divided into equal portions and distributed throughout the day.
Water or additional fluid may need to be consumed to ensure adequate fluid intake. For greater accuracy, use a gram scale when measuring powder. Best served chilled.
The recommended dilution is 1 pouch (12.5 g powder) mixed with 5 - 6fl oz (150 - 180 mL) of water or flavored (protein-free) beverage. Pour the required amount of liquid into a shaker or container with a tight fitting lid. Add the prescribed amount of powder, replace lid, and shake until fully blended. Dilution may be adjusted to taste.
Once prepared, product can be refrigerated for up to 24 hour. Shake prior to use. Store unopened pouches at room temperature. Once opened, use entire contents of pouch should be used immediately.
Must be used under medical supervision. Not for parenteral use. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Only suitable for individuals over 1 year of age with proven phenylketonuria (PKU). Not suitable for individuals with a dairy or milk allergy.
